Realmstate is a competitive, pseudo-realtime strategy game. You are the ruling scion of a house. Houses sit together in states marshalled by an elected Leader, and states are grouped by geography into realms. See The World. The game is played in ages: each age runs for weeks, then everything resets and a new age begins, often with rebalanced rules.
Signing in
Sign in with Google, then add a passkey so later sign-ins are one tap. See Signing In. Each account runs one house per age.
Your house
When you found a house you choose a race and a personality. Together they decide your troops and your strengths. You start with 400 acres, 6,600 peasants and 400 soldiers, 150,000 gold and 60,000 food.
Your first days: protection
A new house is protected for 72 ticks (late joiners too): nobody can attack you, spy on you or hex you, and you can't do those things either. Use the time to build up. You can leave protection early from your house page if you're ready.
What you do
- Explore for more land, and build on it. (Revenants can't explore; they take land by attacking.)
- Grow your economy: peasants pay gold every tick, farms feed everyone, and your realm's material can be traded on the market.
- Invest in science, and give books to your state's Colloquium.
- Train troops and attack other houses; raise generals.
- Send thieves on intrigue and adepts on rites.
- Work with your state: elect a leader, talk in state chat, fight wars together.
Winning
At the end of the age, states are scored on land, might and war points; the best state wins, and houses keep a few characters as heirs for the next age. See The End of an Age.
Time
Your economy updates once every tick (1 hour). Everything else happens the moment you do it, and things you start (explored land, training, armies away) finish at an exact time. Your house page updates live: news, your state's chat and each tick arrive without reloading. See How Time Works.
This wiki grows with the game. Rules pages are generated from the game's own rule files, so their numbers are always the ones the game uses.
