A house can send aid to another house of its own state: gold, food, materials, soldiers, horses, aether or explorable acres. It is how a state helps a member who is short, or builds one up.
Sending aid
- Aid leaves your house at once and arrives 2 ticks later.
- 10% is lost on the way.
- Only to a house of your own state.
- The order form shows exactly how much will arrive before you send it.
The aid tax
To stop a state pouring everything into one house, a house that has received more aid than it gave pays a tax on what it receives. Every house keeps an aid balance: what it has given minus what it has received, counted in gold-value. Goods are valued at explorable 300, soldiers 40, horses 30, material 15, aether 10, food 1, gold 1 gold-value each.
- A house can receive up to 50 gold-value an acre more than it has given without any tax.
- Beyond that, each further gold-value an acre adds 0.5% of tax, up to 60%.
- Giving builds credit: a house that has given more than it received can later receive that much back tax-free.
- Balances fade by 1% every tick, so old aid matters less and less.
Tools can ask for a quote to a house in their own state with GET /aid/quote and send with the send_aid command (see API for Tools).
